ABOUT THE COMMUNITY RESPONSE APPLICATION

WHAT IS IT?

The Community Responsiveness fund is a fund held by Manurewa Community Trust on behalf of the Manurewa Local Board. The intention is to provide highly responsive grants to community needs in areas of most benefit.

Decisions on the distribution of any funds are made by the Manurewa Community Trust – Distribution Committee in consultation with the Manurewa Local Board. 

Grant recipients will have met with the Manurewa Local Board prior to submitting an application. 

WHO CAN APPLY?

The fund is only available to legally incorporated (Clubs) or constituted (Trusts) organisations for activities within the Manurewa Local Board Area. 

WHO IS THE FUND TARGETING?

The fund is available to any community organisation within the Manurewa Local Board Area.  The Manurewa Local board is committed to improving outcomes related to Māori within Manurewa.

All recipients are expected to demonstrate in their conclusion reports the success of their programme including Māori outcomes.

What is the definition of Māori outcomes?

A programme that meets Māori outcomes will be based on at least one of the following:

      1. tikanga (practises)
      2. mātauranga (knowledge)
      3. reo (language)
      4. kaupapa (ideas)

It is not necessarily about how many Māori contributors or participants  are involved in an activity or programme. 

APPLYING

WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY?

  • Certificate

    You will need to upload a copy of your Certificate of Incorporation or Charities Certificate

  • Drivers Licence Photo

    The main contact will need a copy of their Drivers Licence to upload also.

  • A Bank Deposit Slip

    Funds can only be deposited into an account matching the name of the organisation receiving the funds. Funds will not be submitted into an individuals account.
